Rio Out Of Man Utd v Chelsea Clash

Manchester United will be without Rio Ferdinand for Sunday's big Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

The defender has been struggling with a calf injury, but their are now concerns the problem has been misdiagnosed.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "We are having to look at something different because usually you are back from a calf injury within two or three weeks."

Ferguson hinted that a nerve problem in Ferdiand's back may be causing the trouble.

United go into the game two points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table.
