Housing advice for MK
Residents in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire have got the chance to get their housing questions answered today.
The events are being run by Milton Keynes Council’s housing service and advice will be offered on:
Repairs
Advice on how to arrange a council house swap using Homeswapper service
Council tenancy issues
Environment
Benefits
Money advice including help on managing debts.
Cllr Chris Williams, council cabinet member responsible for Housing, said: “We want to make our services open to everyone and what better way than by taking our services out to the people.
“I am sure that anyone popping in to these roadshows will find the information and advice they receive invaluable.”
Also on hand will be representatives from The United Sustainable Energy Agency (USEA) to give advice and assistance with energy bills, as well as information about how to best switch suppliers to get the best deals on utilities.
Debt advice and information about other free services will also be available from staff from the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
The first roadshow is being held on today from 11am until 5.30pm at Wolverton Community Centre, 205 Stratford Road, followed by the second event to be held on Tuesday, November 24 from 11am until 6.30pm at The Lakes Estate Community Centre in Fern Grove, Bletchley.
