When seeking adventure this October – look UP!
Heart teamed up with Cineworld at Xscape to bring you UP before anyone else, with a special regional gala screening on Sunday 4th October. As well as the screening of the movie, there were also loads of great activities taking place throughout Xscape, including your chance to win family tickets to the premiere, flights on Airkix and some great Cineworld prizes.

From the Academy Award®-nominated team of director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.”) and co-director Bob Peterson comes Up, a comedic adventure taking off (and lifting spirits) on October 9th 2009. Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. “Up” takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures.
To celebrate the premiere, 100 helium filled balloons were released on Xscape’s front piazza on Saturday 26th September at 12pm. If you find a balloon, just call the number on the tag attached to it to win a free cinema ticket. You’ll also be helping out Brownies, Scouts and Cubs throughout MK – each balloon is tagged with a pack number – the balloon that travels the furthest wins the pack tickets for the whole group to come to the premiere!
